The number of visas issued in
March 2012 by the General Consulate of Spain
in Moscow has
exceeded 38 thousand which is almost 30% more than for the same period of 2011.
As reported by the Tourism Department of the Spanish Embassy in Moscow, all in all, in
the first quarter of 2012 about 81.4 thousand visas were issued for the Russians
which is 37% more than last year’s figures. It’s not the first record of the
Spanish Consulate. The acceleration of handing out visas here is one of the
highest in Russia.
For example, in 2011 the General Consulate of Spain handed out 672 thousand visas
which exceeds the previous year by almost 52%.
The tourist flow from Russia to Spain is constantly growing. In
2011, it reached almost 858.5 thousand people. Three years ago it was almost
twice as little. One of the main factors of such a success is the good work of
the Consulate and high loyalty to Russian tourists. Spanish Consulate, in
particular, was one of the first to start granting the Russians Schengen
multi-visas.
