During five months Greece issued 88% more visas to the Russians

Greece magazine “Finance and Tourism” reports the 40% increase of the number of visas issued to the Russian citizens during the first 15 days if June 2011. 45.8 thousand visas were issued during this period. And during the first five months of 2011 84% more Greek visas were issued in Russia in Ukraine.

Out of all Russia’s regions in terms of visa application dynamics the absolute leader is Novorossiysk (+117.5%). It is followed by Moscow with almost 94% growth, than goes Saint Petersburg (+40.5%). The total number of issued visas in Russia stands at over 123 thousand, the growth amounts to 84%.

In 2011 the Greek Consulate accredited 145 tour operators. According to the consulate’s data the destination leaders are Mouzenidis Travel, Labirint, Yuzhny Krest, Natalie Tours, TUI-Mostravel etc.
