The tourism to Mauritius increased thanks to the kite-surfing fans

In October and November 2010 the number of Russian tourists visiting Mauritius increased by 35% and 36% respectively and in general from January by 14%. From January till November the island was visited by 5665 Russians. The number of tourists from CIS countries amounted to 8229 persons (increase of 2.8%). The most numerous tourists on Mauritius are the French (34 thousand guests during 11 months of the year) and the Germans (more than 6000).
