UNESCO sees Yevpatoria as one of the most interesting cities of Crimea

UNESCO recommends The Small Jerusalem tourist route in Yevpatoria as one of the top 10 travel itineraries, reported the press service of the city council. In the opinion of the mayor of Yevpatoria, Andrey Danilenko, it’s a real implementation of yet another dream, of another more project on turning Yevpatoria into a tourist center of international standards. He noted that there’s a similar situation in the Moynak area right now.

 

The Small Jerusalem route shows tourists architectural monuments – the city’s religious places of interest. The excursion program includes visiting ancient cult buildings of different confessions - Orthodox, Muslim, Jewish, Karaite temples: 16th century mosque of Khan-Jami, the Orthodox St. Nicholas Cathedral, the ancient synagogue, two Yevpatorian Kenese, as well as the dervish Tekke - the only preserved Muslim monastery on the peninsula.
