Club Sandwich Index
The classic chicken,
bacon, egg, lettuce and mayo sandwich, which can be found in hotels worldwide,
has become the universal measure for experts’ determining hotels’
affordability. Having analyzed its price in different countries, Hotels.com deduced
the Club Sandwich Index (CSI) for travelers to estimate their costs on their
supposed vacation.
An average CSI has
been calculated by taking the real price paid by guests for Club Sandwich within
30 hotels of capitals and world’s largest cities. Altogether, Hotels.com made a
close sandwich-prices’ study within 750 hotels across 25 countries. The survey
revealed the most expensive Club Sandwich being sold in Paris – from 1556
rubles in a 5* hotel to 638 rubles in 3* hotel. In
New Deli turned out to be the cheapest city for a sandwich for just 282 rubles on average.
